AXEL #090 (エックスエル, Ekkusueru?) is an jock elephant villagerwho first appeared in Animal Forest. He was absent in Wild World, but later appeared in and on the box art of City Folk. His name may be a reference to vehicles, particularly rally cars or lorries (due to his species, known for their weight and stamina) which appear in some sports, hence his characteristics. His initial phrase, "whonk," is a play on the word "honk." He has the fitness hobby.
