Pate (ナッキー, Nakkī^?) is a peppy duck villager in the Animal Crossing series. Pate's name probably derives from the French word "pâté", a meat dish usually formed from the liver of a duck or goose, meaning that her name should most likely be pronounced "Pa-tay", rather than "Pay-te". Pate has appeared in every game so far. Her initial phrase is a reference to the sound ducks make, "quack". She has the fashion hobby
